Whats a Thermostat?
A thermostat switches the heating on and off. It senses the air temperature, switches on when temperature is below the thermostat setting and switches off when it has reached the set temperature.
How To Set a Thermostat?
Find the lowest temperature setting that you are comfortable with. Set the temperature low around 17ºC and then turn up by one degree each day until you are comfortable with the temperature. This will help you stop wasting energy/ gas and also help save money.
Where to put the Thermostat?
Thermostats need free flow air to sense the temperature, they must no be blocked/ covered by curtains or furniture. Do not place them near any drafts, radiators, heaters as this could cause the temperature to be artificially high or low near the thermostat.
